This Privacy Policy describes how Moete, published by Joel Sina, collects, uses, and shares your information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us:
- Account Data: Name and email address used for registration and Google Sign-In.
- Event Data: Physical addresses and photos uploaded during the creation of events.
2. Permissions & Device Access
To provide our services, Moete requests access to:
- Location: To facilitate event discovery and navigation.
- Camera: Used exclusively for scanning QR codes.
- Media/Photos: Used for uploading images to event pages.
On your device, precise coordinates and addresses used to search for nearby events are kept only in memory for the current app session. Moete does not save this search history to persistent device storage or include it in device backups.
3. Third-Party Services
We use third-party tools to ensure app stability and functionality:
- Sentry: For crash reporting and performance monitoring.
- Google Play Services: For authentication and core app functionality.
4. Data Deletion (User Rights)
Google Play and Apple Store policies require that users have control over their data. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
How to delete your data:
- You can delete your account directly inside the app from the Profile section using the "Delete Account" option.
- This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Your account and associated personal data will be permanently deleted.
- If you created events as an organizer, those events will be marked as cancelled instead of being fully removed, so participants can still understand what happened.
- If you are unable to access the app, you may also send a deletion request to [email protected]. We will process eligible deletion requests as soon as reasonably possible.
5. Children's Privacy
Moete is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
